To which Turner replied, “Yeah kind of”.

Over the weekend, Dauber was responsible for tweeting portions of the probation pre-sentence report containing a statement attributed to Brock’s father, Dan Turner, who pleaded for leniency, saying the verdict had “broken and shattered” his son.
Turner’s sentencing on June 2 gained worldwide attention after a detailed letter that the victim had read aloud in court was posted online.
Those words and images contrasted with the message Turner gave last week at his sentencing.
“While I strongly disagree with the sentence that Judge Persky issued in the Brock Turner case I do not believe he should be removed from his judgeship”. At the time, he was a freshman at the university.
She returned to college, but had trouble focusing and started to fall behind in her studies, she said.
Judge Aaron Persky has drawn criticism for sentencing Brock Turner to only six months in jail.
A request to interview the judge wasn’t returned Friday.
But others, including the Santa Clara District Attorney Jeff Rosen, say Turner, who was a top swimmer at Stanford, got off easy when he was sentenced to six months in county jail and three years’ probation.
The Recall Judge Aaron Persky campaign on Friday said media consultant Joe Trippi, campaign strategist John Shallman and pollster Paul Maslin would help secure the signatures and votes required to remove the Santa Clara County jurist from the bench next year. In addition, an advocacy group petitioned the agency that investigates and sanctions judges in California, and a protest is planned during one of Stanford’s commencement events.
Many find this 6-month sentence far too lenient for such a serious crime, for which prosecutors had asked that Turner be put behind bars for six years.
The morning after the assault and Turner’s arrest, investigators looked through Turner’s phone and found a text message in the “Group Me” group chat app that read, “Who’s tits are those?”
“It was not respected, and she was not given dignity in the process”, said Harris, a Democrat, according to video from a local television station.

What are your thoughts on the Brock Turner case?
“During the presentence interview, the defendant demonstrated a comprehension that the victim, in her state, was unable to make an informed decision and in that moment, he had a moral responsibility to act in her best interest, which he failed to do”, the officer wrote. The aim is to strike a blow against a culture on college campuses that they say discourages victims of sexual assault from coming forward.
The commission meets every six to eight weeks and usually decides whether to open an investigation within 60 days of receiving a complaint, agency attorney Victoria Henley said.

Letters of support for Turner have surfaced over the past week, written by close relatives and friends to Persky.
