“Dude, let’s talk about this”, Turner recalled telling the bystanders, according to a 30-minute recording of the police interview, reviewed by WHIO-TV San Francisco affiliate KPIX-TV.

“If he is uncomfortable, then he begins to receive at least some punishment that he deserves for his crime”, one protester told local news station WCPO.

Turner’s attorney, Mike Armstrong, could not be immediately reached for comment.

Reportedly, following his first taste of freedom in three short months, Brock Turner spent his first post-release night at a local hotel before returning to his parent’s OH home, where he will reportedly be living now that he’s a free man. The Sheriff’s Office operates the county jails. Turner listed an address in Bellbrook, Ohio, for a house that belongs to his parents, according to public records.

Even though Brock Turner has been released from jail, his sentence for being a convicted sex offender is actually far from over. “We will pop in unannounced from time to time to make sure he’s living where he says he’s living”.

“Because of his notoriety, Turner will have the whole community as his probation officer”, he said. “My family and I have endured over a year of inexplicable, unnecessary suffering, and he should face the consequences of challenging his crime, of putting my pain into question, of making us wait so long for justice”.

Turner assaulted the unconscious and partially unclothed woman during a party outside a fraternity house on school grounds next to a Dumpster early on the morning of January 18, 2015. The woman passed out, and Turner was on top of her when confronted by two graduate students passing by on bicycles. Turner, whose six-month sentence for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman at Stanford University sparked national outcry, was released from jail after serving half his term.

“Women look at these cases, they are seeing something quite different from what Judge Persky sees”, Dauber said.

Meanwhile, an Ithaca College student is taking a stand. Turner served just half of a six-month sentence. A Santa Clara County jury earlier this year found Turner guilty of three felony counts: assault with intent to commit rape of an intoxicated or unconscious person, penetration of an intoxicated person and penetration of an unconscious person.

“I have a younger sister, who just started at Ohio State”, Goralski said.

The victim for her part, wrote an eloquent and devastating letter which I’m sure you’ve all read, detailing the many upsetting and horrific ways in which Brock’s actions have impacted negatively on her life.
