Broncos are ‘now Brock Osweiler’s team’ despite injury
When Manning went down, Osweiler took over and had a 3-0 record but the Broncos lost their last two games that would question the coaching staff to consider Manning back into the game on Sunday to play against Cincinnati. “I was over there and saw it first-hand, so I thought it was a really good week”.

Another troubling report for Peyton Manning: The Broncos are reportedly Brock Osweiler’s team now.
“He worked really hard this morning – well, he worked every morning, but he worked really had this morning conditioning-wise and throwing wise”, said Kubiak, who watched Manning’s Saturday work in person.
“He probably worked harder today than he did the other two days, to be honest with you, but it was a good workout”, Kubiak said. “It was a “Friday” workout”. If the results from his workout on Saturday are not good, the decision might be made for him.
Brock Osweiler will make his sixth straight start at quarterback in Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
“Coming into the game, I was a little bit banged up”, Osweiler said in comments distributed by the team.
Rapoport told NFL Network’s Lindsay Rhodes there is “no chance” Manning will start against San Diego next week if Osweiler played well. “I’m very confident in my abilities. I hope. The team should always be first”. A large part of that is because of the teammates that I have around myself. That latter number may be critical to the Broncos, as Peyton was a turnover machine as a starter, throwing 17 interceptions in just nine games this season. I’m going to show up whether I’m the starter or whether I’m the backup. His future in the game, however, depends heavily on a workout today at the Denver Broncos practice facility.

Although the win secured a playoff spot for Denver, a Week 17 loss coupled with a Kansas City Chiefs victory would hand the division to the Chiefs, who were once left for dead at 1-5.
