They were once again playing elite all game.

It was only the second time in Charles’ career that he’s lost to fumbles in one game. “More flexible. I’m getting more one-one-ones”. Linebacker Brandon Marshall took the game ball – literally and figuratively.

Backup running back Knile Davis sprinted 8 yards off left tackle untouched with 2:27 left as the Chiefs went in front 24-17.Manning completed 26 of 45 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns, including a pair to Sanders. This year, he has played in two games, has thrown for 430 yards, and three touchdowns.

Denver’s 31-24 win was the Broncos’ seventh straight against Kansas City, and Manning is now 14-1 against the Chiefs.

A Jamaal Charles fumble changed all of that.

“I was just trying to make a play and [wasn’t] careful with the ball, and one of the defenders punched it out”, Charles added. “It’s my fault”.

The pressure Ware, Miller, Shaq Barrett, Malik Jackson and Wade Phillips’ designed blitzes are applying up front are directly correlating into the seven turnovers the Broncos have forced through two games, both wins. “It was an emotional rollercoaster”. All 10 plays were passes, three of them long completions to Demaryius Thomas before finding Emmanuel Sanders for a 19-yard strike to tie the game.

“That last drive was really good“, said Manning, who joined Brett Favre during the game as the only quarterbacks in National Football League history with at least 70,000 yards passing. But he went with what worked, what made the most sense for an offensive line that, for now, is unable to boost the run game. Peters snagged a Peyton Manning pass and returned it 55 yards for a touchdown to give the Chiefs a 14-0 lead.

The feat was achieved by Manning in a Denver Broncos 31-24 victory over the Kansas City Chief.

Manning had accumulated 100 passes without a touchdown before he finally hit Sanders for six points in the second quarter.

Chiefs counterpart Alex Smith had a poor outing, tossing two interceptions and finishing the game with a quarterback rating of just 53.9.

Turned out to be not late enough for Manning and the Broncos.

“You have to get over it. By tomorrow, it’s going to be out of our mouths, the taste, and get focused for the next game”, he said. Broncos cornerback Bradley Roby scooped up the ball and ran it back for a touchdown. But obviously, you get friends and teammates and it seems to make them quite angry.
