Broncos “have to come with something different” to beat the Patriots
The New England Patriots (10-0) travel to meet the Denver Broncos (8-2) this week in a clash between two of the league’s best. This Sunday, it’s going to be more about the defense. Well, actually Manning has been playing terribly, so they may be better off with Brock Osweiler anyway.

“Understanding sport, I don’t how many golfers go out and work on their half-swings or in tennis they work half-speed to practice tennis”, Fox said. Julian Edelman is out with a foot injury, and Danny Amendola is hobbling on a bad knee and questionable to play. Receiver Aaron Dobson suffered an ankle injury and is on season-ending injured reserve. The Patriots’ roster is getting thin.
“Peyton has been great to me”, shared Osweiler to the Denver Post. “I’ve been very appreciative for my situation”. He’s been a tremendous player. The Broncos didn’t need to see the oversized tight end tally another victory against Denver. Although Andrew Luck and the Colts came away from the battle with a win, Luck is still feeling the effects. He’s also sitting on the sideline until the wounds heal. As for the Denver defense, there are important areas to keep an eye on.
Dolphins (+3½) over JETS: The Jets have lost four of their past five games.
Brady knows that the heat will be on. With Belichick up to his usual sneaky tricks, this game is going to come down to the defense stopping Brady and Osweiler doing what he did last week – protecting the ball and moving the chains. Brady understands that the Denver defense is going to be coming at him with everything. Miller has been seeing a lot of double teams this season, but that just opens up holes for other guys to get after the quarterback. “They put a lot of pressure on you”. When the Bills brought cornerback Nickell Robey on a blitz Monday night, White simply flared out to the flat and Brady beat the blitz by dumping it off. White shook a tackle attempt by safety Corey Graham before scampering into the end zone for a 20-yard touchdown just before halftime. “That’s old quarterbacks, young quarterbacks”. COVERS POWER RANKINGS: Patriots (-7) + Broncos (-3) + home field (-3) = Patriots -1 WHAT CAPPERS SAY: “The Patriots remain at the No. 1 spot in my Power Rankings, but their power rating number has been trending downwards due to the barrage of injuries on the offensive side of the ball”. When speaking to the media on Tuesday, head coach Bill Belichick declined to give any updates on Amendola’s condition, so it is unknown how long Amendola will be out of action.
But they seem ready for the challenge. New England coach Bill Belichick could confuse Confucius, so prepping for the unexpected is part of the drill this week. Whatever is called at the time is what I’ll do to the best of my ability. Manning’s struggles have been tremendously uncharacteristic. They’ve recovered nine fumbles on top of 10 interceptions, and lead the league by having turned four of those turnovers into touchdowns.
It may not be the Broncos-Patriots match-up we expected…
The Seahawks have rushed for 100 yards as a team in 21 straight games.
St. Louis at Cincinnati (-9): The Rams’ forte is their defense, but if they can lose to the weak Ravens in Week 11 they likely won’t fare too well against the Bengals. According to CBS Sports, with 32 sacks, the Patriots’ pass rush is third in the National Football League to Denver, which has 34. He has spent the past 3 ½ years practicing for this moment, but nothing can fully prepare him for the Patriots.
