Coming off the Broncos’ 29-10 victory over the Packers on Sunday night, Denver cornerback Chris Harris still was fuming about an officials’ call. Last year’s MVP, Rodgers was disrupted by the apparent pass rush, and finished on 14-22 passing, for only 77 yards and no touchdowns. The Pack, like all teams outside of New England, doesn’t have a Gronk… nor, for that matter, a Dion Lewis. “I’m aware of what’s out there, but I have nothing to report really”. With Hillman’s 60 yards, the Broncos had their best ground game of the season. The question is, Are the Broncos just that good, or are the Packers just that bad? The secondary was aware that Rodgers would use his footwork to keep a play alive, which meant the defensive backs had to keep playing tight after the original plan broke down.

The Green Bay Packers have not lost consecutive games since dating back in 2013 after the star quarterback Aaron Rodgers got hurt against the Chicago Bears in Week 9 during that season. The next 3 plays were all passes. There was no attempt at deception, no variety. It’s hard for me to imagine anyone, including Denver, keeping the Patriots under 24 points. The passing game should have worked. Rodgers was given enough time during the game. This is where I don’t know what happened. Any Colorado team that plays outside has a serious advantage over their opponents for one simple reason, elevation. And on the plays they were open, Rodgers was flushed out of the pocket or hit before he could even look downfield.
Now Lets talk about the coaching. That might not make a 19 point difference in a game, but it is accepted that in Green Bay Packers the score would have been a little different, according to the team’s website. In fact, they only gave up 400 yards twice in 20 games. But looks were somewhat deceiving as that unit was exposed on more than one occasion. “That’s showing up more, but you’ll also see a few two-shell, as well”. They’ll get them fixed.

After weeks of the Broncos offense showing glimpses of what it could be here and there each game, it struck a chord on Sunday with its finest and most consistent performance to date.
