It seems Kubiak has even gone out of his way to praise Siemian. Meanwhile, Siemian was 7-of-12 for 88 yards and didn’t throw a touchdown or interception.

“There’s a lot to think about”, Siemian said. That’s one thing that I’ve kind of started to learn, just to trust my instincts.
Gary Kubiak and the Denver Broncos are heading into their second preseason game of the 2016 National Football League season and are without question intrigued to see what has improved over the last week. That the Broncos would rather take their chances on two QBs with zero experience over $4.5 million of Sanchez and zero trust?
“I just squandered a great opportunity to separate myself, and I put the team in a bad situation”, Sanchez said. “There’s no excuse for that”.
But raw numbers might not be the determining factor in this quarterback battle. Outside linebacker Eli Harold had the wind knocked out of him when he collided with teammate Tank Carradine, who was pass-rushing from the other side. These latter two goals are already figuring prominently in the Broncos’ training camp. The defending Super Bowl champions beat the Chicago Bears 22-0 in the preseason opener for both teams. And then he threw a pick.
“I know I can play this game”. He nearly had a fourth sack but Lynch escaped Rush’s grasp, to which Rush said afterward: “I’ve already hear a lot about it”. He played the entire first half and broke up two passes. Sanchez was also sacked three times. Trevor also committed the cardinal sin of this preseason and threw a pick-six. If you don’t get enough in the first half, you may continue in the third. “We want the best five (lineman) on the field, and Trent is not going to play guard”.
The real question revolving around Siemian will be how long he can actually hold onto the starting job.
Rookie first-round pick Paxton Lynch also is in the mix, though the bulk of his work has been with the third team. His passer rating is 86.3.
We should look at what the three have done in two preseason games. Some will look at the young kid and give him the nod, especially if he does well against the Rams. “Talking to him, he says he feels really good about it”. Armstrong’s athleticism and high motor have made coaches take notice. I think I’ve continued to tell you guys that he is behind the others from a knowledge standpoint as far as running the group. “It’s not like we’re telling him what to do because he’s the one who ultimately knows how he feels”, Kelly said about Kaepernick, who missed nearly two weeks of practice and will sit out a second consecutive preseason game Saturday because of a sore right shoulder.
“Our schedule is different because we are a Thursday opening football team”, Kubiak said. Kubiak just announced that Siemian will start for the second straight week in Saturday’s game.
And Saturday’s showings, shaky – at best – by all contenders, has kept the race close.
“At the end of the day, it’s your job to protect the ball”, Kubiak said after the 49ers loss.”That’s the most important thing”.

“I think a lot of the guys that have been here in years past have learned a lot from No. 18 on what it takes to be a true professional quarterback”, Green added. But I believe he can turn this team around if he gets the right players.
