“I know. I need to shut up, ” Kubiak said with a smile Saturday. He has been easing his way back onto the field this week so he doesn’t cause further damage to his foot. You’re always trying to prove to your teammates that you’re capable of getting the job done. “It’s kind of the situation that you want to be in”, running back C.J. Anderson said.
Coach Gary Kubiak will have to decide which quarterback he feels gives him the best chance to win heading into the playoffs.
Team reporter Andrew Mason wrote that Peyton Manning “will focus on his rehabilitation from a torn plantar fascia”.
Asked whether the goal is to keep open the possibility that Peyton could play again, Kubiak said, “There is nothing – it’s just, ‘Let’s go. I was over there and saw it first-hand, so I thought it was a really good week”. Osweiler, along with a slightly injured left shoulder, has an issue with his eye. After handing the New England Patriots their first loss of the season, Osweiler struggled against a mediocre Oakland Raiders team. I’m not the only one. He has been ruled out for this weekend’s showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night and the future remains ominous for the gun-slinger.
As for his vision, “it’s OK”, Osweiler said. If Osweiler turns in another ho-hum performance, though, Manning could be back under center come Week 16.
This marked the second consecutive week, however, that there was a delay in naming Osweiler the starter.
“Watching that kid play, I mean, he’s something else, does it all day, plays extremely hard the entire game”, Kubiak said. “I’m going to prepare every single week the same exact way”. Denver has been outscored 36-0 after the break over its last three, and Osweiler has posted a 65.8 rating in the second half compared to 109.4 in the first. “That’s where we’re at”. “I’m not anxious about it one bit”.

Both seem prone to crucial drops at crucial times. In other words, it’s time to throw the ball to the tight ends more.
