Broncos parade through Denver, leave questions for later

The league’s most valuable player also hinted at how he would have possibly been injured had he dived for a critical fumble late in Sunday’s 24-10 loss to Denver in Super Bowl 50. I don’t think he’s figured that out yet. Although he admitted he still didn’t want to talk to the media, Newton did stop and answer questions for about 5 minutes before Head Coach Ron Rivera called a meeting with the offense.

Denver isn’t ready to close the door on a possible Peyton Manning return, despite what his father has said. As he was speaking, teammates stood around him, shouting “we love Cam”.

The sentimental crowd favorite was Manning, who at age 39 became the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl and who many observers believe will retire on top of the football world. “We’ll let Peyton enjoy this”, Broncos general manager John Elway said.

“He’s not just a good player – he’s got good character all around, he gives back to the community and everything”, past Athlete of the Week Cory Cotnoir told me.

“I want players that hate to lose, plain and simple”, Gettleman said. But that doesn’t give him, or any professional athlete, the right to act unprofessionally, even immaturely (I didn’t say pout) when things don’t go their way. If he doesn’t want to partake in the press conference, then I don’t care about that. “I’ve obviously had a lot of time to think about it. I’ve seen so much blown out of proportion”.

Well, the Panthers sure have a guy in Newton who can make the buses late. “So why should we be all smiles when the game is over?” “As a parent you say, ‘I wish he’d have handled it a little different.’ But it hurts”.

Newton was also trolled by Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib after the game.

Manning said in the aftermath of Sunday’s win over the Carolina Panthers he planned to take his time before making a decision. “I am my own person”, Newton explained reported by NFL.com.
