Broncos’ Peyton Manning breaks NFL’s all-time passing yards record
A 34-21 loss to the Broncos earlier this season still hangs over their head, a game the Chiefs could have and probably should have won.

By then, Kansas City had forced four punts in addition to picking off four of Manning’s passes in sending the Broncos well on their way to their second straight loss. Could that be the reason? Kansas City’s defense could be the difference has they held the Broncos to 66 yards rushing in the first meeting and sacked Manning three times. Manning’s 16 interceptions through nine games is the most by any Broncos quarterback since Jacky Lee threw 17 into 1964, and Manning still has a half to play.
Manning came into this game dealing with various health problems, including to his right shoulder, right foot and ribs. The 2-point conversion try failed when a scrambling Osweiler was tackled short of the goal line.
For the Chiefs, Smith has 106 yards passing, no touchdowns. He has already matched his interceptions total from that game. “From there, we kept the pedal down, kept the momentum going”.
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning (18) takes off his helmet after throwing an interception during the first half of an NFL football game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday, November 15, 2015, in Denver.
The 39-year-old Manning was so bad – 5 for 20, 35 yards, zero touchdowns, and one underthrow after another – that he managed to get benched on the same day that he broke Brett Favre’s career record for passing yards.

Peyton Manning has started the game 4-12 for 30 yards and three interceptions, giving him a league-high 16 on the year. Hillman gave Manning the ball back for a keepsake and the quarterback tossed it to the Broncos sideline to have it put away.
