Broncos quarterback competition still far from settled

“I think they’ve all done what they did in the off season”. Broncos wearing shoulder pads today after full pads practices on Sunday/Monday. However, Kubiak’s comments indicates that the team is not sold on the veteran.

Kubiak added that Lynch, the team’s first-round pick, has been “kind of up and down” and “didn’t practice well” after Tuesday’s day off.

He probably had the best day of all the quarterbacks, but it wasn’t spectacular. Most would have said Siemian had the slightly better day. “At a minimum, Manning impacted the game with his audibles, which may take some time for Sanchez or Siemian to replicate in Denver”. Struggles early were a staple, but he was accurate on crossing routes during team drills and led the second-team to a long 18-play touchdown drive against the first-team defense near the end of practice. I think we have plenty of patience. “I don’t think a lot of us did and that’s why coach Kubiak said what he said when he pulled the team up and kind of got us going”.

Von Miller should be a full participant or close to it by today. We didn’t practice very well at quarterback today and let ’em know. Neither is Ty Sambrailo. “It just wasn’t as good as it needed to be today”, Kubiak said.

Denver Broncos quarterback Paxton Lynch (12) watches Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian (13) in drills on Day 6 of training camp August 3, 2016 at Dove Valley. From what I saw, he was 0-3, and overall has looked a little off today.

Whether the Broncos start uber-athletic Virgil Green, free-agent addition Garrett Graham or 2015 third-rounder Jeff Heuerman, who missed all of last season with a torn ACL, Sanchez should have more able bodies to throw to in the middle of the field. Lynch’s No. 3 offense got the first chance.

But if the consumers are honest, it all hinges on that quick-fix Mark Sanchez, and I really hope we’re not all standing in line again because of a quarterback recall this time next year. Fan turnout definitely up from first few days last week.
