After Obama placed the medal around the legendary comedian’s neck, Brooks pretended to pull down the president’s trousers. “He never lets me have my moment”.

“We believe that the arts and the humanities are in many ways reflective of or national soul. They’re central to who we are as Americans – dreamers, storyteller, innovators and visionaries”, Obama said. “Today’s honorees each possess a gift for this type of creative empathy.to identify with our collective experience as Americans”. It sure seems like he may have tried to take the president’s trousers off. Last year, he played the chief justice of the Supreme Court on the TV series “Madam Secretary.”

Brooks, the director of legendary comedies like “The Producers”, “Young Frankenstein” and “Blazing Saddles”, naturally had a joke prepared.

The three were among two dozen artists, writers, playwrights and performers awarded the 2015 National Medals of Arts and Humanities. I’ll be happy just to pull my own trousers down at 90 years old, not to mention the president of the United States of America’s.

The group could also be described as “Terry Gross and a whole bunch of people Terry Gross has interviewed”, Obama said.

After Obama presented Brooks with the 2015 National Medal of Arts award and hung a medal around his neck, the 90-year-old comedian gestured as if he were about to trousers the President, ABC 7 reports.

Obama warned Brooks that he would catch him if he tried to sell his National Medal of Arts on eBay.
