Bever’s brother, 17-year-old Michael Bever, remained silent during his arraignment and a judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Tulsa County District Attorney, Stephen Kunzweiler gave the rationale behind reaching an agreement with Robert Bever and not pursuing the death penalty. “Those children deserve a life, and I am not going to saddle them with what I know the reality of a death penalty case to be”.

The brothers were charged with bludgeoning and stabbing to death their parents, David and April Bever, two brothers and a sister in July 2015 in their Broken Arrow home, about 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Tulsa, police said.

“Ultimately, the single most important factor in my decision to resolve this case centered upon the needs of the surviving two children who lost everything in their lives”.

I’m confident we will never be seeing or discussing Robert Bever again, he will not be breathing free air.

He has 10 days to appeal his conviction and sentence.

The surviving sister said Robert had come up behind her and slashed her throat with a knife, thinking that she would die quietly, but she screamed. A 13-year-old sister witnessed the killings and a two-year-old sister was asleep.

Ramsey also cross-examined the detectives regarding Robert Bever’s statements that his parents beat him and told him he was worthless, which included an account of his mother telling him it was “hilarious” that her slaps left marks on his face.

The sister told investigators that she made it to the front door, but passed out on the lawn.

The older Bever brother admits guilt in killing five of his family members past year in Broken Arrow.

However, they were caught by sniffer dogs in the woods near their family home in the town of Broken Arrow, a suburb of Tulsa, after their dying brother Daniel managed to call police.

According to the Mirror, Robert Bever confessed that he was fascinated with serial killers and mass shooters, admitting that he had wanted to kill his parents since he was 13.

The brothers did not kill their parents for money or special privileges within the family. They believed they were killing people who were not contributing to society.
