Brother: Suspect in OH shooting that killed 3 was friend
A man shot and killed a couple and their 7-year-old son and wounded their 12-year-old daughter in their Columbus, Ohio, home Monday before being fatally shot by police responding to the scene, police said. The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital.

During the shooting, another person in the house – a friend of the family who sometimes stayed with the Andersons and was hiding in the basement – also called 911.
Police identified the victims as John Anderson II, 31, his wife Christina Anderson, 30, and their son Landon Anderson.
Police sources told NBC station WCMH of Columbus that the wounded girl is about 12 years old.
Weiner says police don’t know if the shootings resulted from a home invasion or whether the family knew Kirk.
A relative said Anderson had guns in his home, but police said there was no evidence he had fired them. Kirk, 50, died a few hours later.
Sgt Weiner said when officers arrived at the house, Kirk was spotted running out of the building across the street.
“He’s just a good kid”, said Drown, 51, of Columbus.
Kirk had previously been over the Anderson home and shared meals, but had been in some kind of argument in the past couple of months with John Anderson, Lozier said.
The 33-year-old Lozier said Tuesday Kirk and Anderson fell out over an argument in the past few weeks.
He said: “He don’t get into trouble”.

Asked what would happen to Makyleigh, Lozier said, “She’ll be taken care of”. “He just raised his family”.
