“It just hurts to hear kids saying they want their mom, and their mom won’t be in their lives anymore”.

Aldridge was pushing one of her children in a stroller at the time of her death having taken her other children to register at the school. Wade ended both days of tweets with the hashtag “EnoughIsEnough”.
Aldridge was a 32-year-old mother of four.
She had just left the Dulles School of Excellence around 3:30 p.m.in the 6300-block of South Calumet The Sorells brothers’ intended target was a 25-year-old man, who works as an Uber driver and was visiting friends at Parkway Gardens, according to prosecutors.
Police said Saturday afternoon that two “people of interest” were being questioned by detectives but no one has been charged in the shooting.
Police said the suspects were targeting a for-hire driver after exchanging unfriendly glances with the man as he drove in the neighborhood.
Wade, who grew up on the city’s South Side, has been outspoken over the years about the violence in his hometown.
This July alone, Chicago saw 65 homicides – the most for that month since 2006, the Associated Press reported.
Through his Wade’s World Foundation, the National Basketball Association superstar offers community outreach programs.
One of Trump’s highest profile supporters defended the tweet, calling it fair comment considering that Chicago, which has always been governed by the Democratic Party, has some of the worst gun violence in the country. According to the Chicago Tribune, over 2,700 people have been shot in the city so far this year, only about 250 shy of the total for all of 2015.
He and his mother, Jolinda Wade, a Chicago pastor, also participated in an ESPN discussion on gun violence in America that was recorded at a YMCA in Chicago. When Tapper noted that police say many guns from Indiana make their way into the city, Pence replied: “In Indiana, we know what most Americans know, is that law – that firearms in the hands of law-abiding citizens makes our communities more safe, not less safe”. The YOUTH! These young kids are screaming for help! “She’s warm, loving, joyful – that’s the only way I can describe her”. “We’re going to try to help these people to transform their minds and give them a different direction”.
It is not the first time Wade’s family in Chicago has been affected by gun violence. The nation’s third-largest city has recorded more homicides than NY and Los Angeles combined in 2016.
NBC 5 reports that 9 persons in addition to Aldridge were killed in weekend violence, while “at least” 57 others were shot and wounded between 4 pm Friday and 1 am Monday. “They are in my thoughts and prayers”.

Johnson also said that Chicago residents should be frustrated and hopes that the arrests bring some sort of closure for the Aldridge and Wade families.
