Browns add Horton to coaching staff
Mary Kay Kabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Browns are close to hiring Ray Horton as their defensive coordinator.

Horton, 55, spent the last two seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans.
The Browns have also expressed interest in former Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator, Pep Hamilton, to join the team’s offensive staff.
Under Horton’s leadership in 2013, the Browns defense was ranked ninth in the league for yards allowed, but struggled on third downs and in the red zone. The Titans finished 12th on defense this year with Horton running the show, including seventh against the pass and 18th against the run. The Raiders went 8-8 in their one season together. The Vikings wanted to keep Wilson and had blocked the Browns’ request to interview him prior to his contract expiring on Tuesday, according to ESPN.
Before Minnesota, Wilson worked with running backs with the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Steelers.

The trio of Wilson, Saunders and Jackson- who will call the team’s plays- will likely head Cleveland’s offensive attack next season.
