Browns’ Gordon to return to practice Monday after activation

Josh Gordon will return to practice for the Cleveland Browns on Monday.

Gordon, who was suspended all of last season, hasn’t practiced since December 26, 2014.

It will mark the talented but troubled receiver’s first practice since he was reinstated from a one-year suspension on July 25.

Gordon has run afoul from the NFL due to multiple violations of the league’s substance-abuse policy.

Josh Gordon is another step closer to getting back on the football field.

Coach Hue Jackson has yet to decide if Gordon will be available to play in the team’s preseason game against the Falcons on Thursday.

“That is to be determined”, Jackson told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “I don’t think it will be about conditioning. He’s been doing more things, more and more and more each week”.

He will be suspended the first four games of the season and will be allowed to return beginning October 3. Since then, he’s played in just five games and caught 24 passes for 303 yards.
