Bryant was not cut, but they did bench him for the rest of the season-just two games.

Browns pass rusher Armonty Bryant was indicted Tuesday on two felony counts of drug possession stemming from a traffic stop and arrest on Christmas morning, according to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. Today, he was officially indicted on a pair of felony counts for that incident.

The Browns have not released a statement on Bryant’s indictment, but it is fair to wonder if the team will choose to keep Bryant on the roster when the new league year opens on March 9.

“After the players were arrested, former Browns general manager Ray Farmer said, “these are charges that we take very seriously.”.

Both of their arraignment are scheduled for February 24. He also was cited for drunken driving. Saunders, it was discovered by police, had a gun in the auto. The 25-year-old had a breakout season for the Browns after missing part of 2014 with a torn ACL, but he has run into legal trouble before. Because of these findings, they chose to arrest Bryant immediately. Saunders was driving and refused a breathalyzer test, and he was arrested at 2:16 a.m. on December 25 for operating a vehicle under the influence and speeding. He made 40 tackles, forced two fumbles and ranked second on the team with 5.5 sacks in 14 games. In college, Bryant also reportedly pleaded no contest for allegedly selling marijuana in a parking lot at East Central University.
