Browns Quarterback Josh McCown Suffers Collarbone Injury

Other than keep their faint hopes alive, the Ravens didn’t do much to improve their playoff odds with Monday’s 33-27 win over the Cleveland Browns.

The team is in need of a wideout or two, but also a quarterback and now it looks like McCown will be gone for the season.

Manziel had spent several weeks this offseason attending a rehab facility as he attempted to get his life and his professional career back in some semblance of order.

Pettine took a hard stance last week when he demoted Manziel for partying over the bye weekend and trying to cover it up. Josh McCown, who started the game at quarterback, suffered a collarbone injury so he is most likely out for the season.

Pettine on Tuesday was asked whether the one-game demotion was punishment enough for Manziel.

“Desperate and frustrated at the same time”, Hill said about the latest collapse in the secondary. “We expect him to play well”. “Austin’s the guy for this week”.

It could be worse though, McCown really does not have a future with the Browns because he is on the older side for an National Football League quarterback and the Browns are a rebuilding franchise. It was a smart move, considering the coaching staff would have undercut their own power had they put Manziel in after such a public statement about his position on the depth chart.

Pettine is not ready to announce who will replace McCown.

Per ESPN, Pettine did not name a starting quarterback and did not rule out the potential addition of another player. Against all the odds, it appeared for a moment as if Cleveland could actually win against the Baltimore Ravens, as the team lined up for a game-winning 51-yard field goal with 3 seconds left in play. Davis went seven of ten for 77 yards including a 42-yard touchdown pass to Travis Benjamin with 1:47 remaining to tie the game at 27.

Pettine praised Davis’ mental approach and work ethic.

“I just wanted to drive out low and stick my hand up”, Urban said.

If these teams both weren’t in the middle of such lousy seasons, and if this game-ending play was to occur during a more satiable marquee lineup, it’d notable go down as one of the most wonderful blocked field goals in history.
