Browns WR trio should debut Friday in Tampa

Haslam, the organization, coach (Hue) Jackson, I think the world of those guys, this city, this organization.

You could say the game played out as opposite as I thought it would, but that’s a good thing.

It’s been nearly two years since Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon had played in an National Football League game due to his weed habits, and he clearly has not lost a step as he showcased on Friday night against the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Maybe not, but it’s looking dark and ominous.

The Browns were outplayed in all three phases and Jackson acknowledged he’s got problems to address before the team’s September 11 opener at Philadelphia.

“I don’t want to go and put bulletin board material stuff out there because we’re all pros out here”, Pryor told reporters after practice.

Gordon will not be starting off his 2016 campaign with the Browns in the best way though. Getting his first action of the preseason, Gordon caught two passes for 87 yards and a touchdown.

He added that there was improvement from the week before, but there is room for more. “I know it’s early and everyone isn’t happy with where they are”. We’ve got to continue to work at it.

Not Much Defense: The Buccaneers scored on their first four offensive drives, resulting in two touchdowns and two field goals, before the Browns were able to force back-to-back punts on the final two possessions of the first half.

Jackson said he’s done mixing and matching on the defensive front and believes it’s time to settle on a group and let them grow. “Jameis came out on fire, made some attractive plays”. “When we’re talking about communication issues, that’s where some of that comes from”. Sometimes guys get rerouted and all of a sudden you might have to hold the ball a little bit here and there and sometimes the line has to strain a little bit more. We have a lot of guys that can do great things.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns in the first half, leading Tampa Bay to an easy 30-13 preseason win over the Cleveland Browns on Friday night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.

The latter reception saw Gordon simply outmuscle Grimes in the end zone and high-point Griffin’s high-arching pass. Gordon’s strong hands corralled the ball over the corner and earned him his first touchdown since his return from suspension.

“I really can’t comment on that”.

“We always want to do a better job of protecting our quarterback”.

“Players are encouraged but not required to stand during the playing of the National Anthem”, the NFL said. Rookie running back Keith Marshall, a seventh-round pick from Georgia, was taken to the locker room to get X-rays on his left elbow after getting dropped by Brandon Spikes on a 3-yard run.

“I haven’t heard too much about it”, Gordon said. We still have a couple days.
