In a Westwood One interview with Jim Gray last night, Brady had nothing but high praise for his replacement, Jimmy Garoppolo, and the team in their 23-21 win against the Cardinals.

“I thought he, you know, was great”, Brady said of Garoppolo. I don’t think that’s the way to play them, so being able to keep the chains [moving], keep the down and distances on second and third-down better, or even on second-down if we didn’t have a good first-down play to be able to get to third-down and manageable range.
Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said after the game that his team was not prepared enough to win. “We played a good complimentary game”.
“We should have won the game”, Arians said during his postgame news conference.
The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver caught eight passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener against the New England Patriots. He caught a ball that was deflected back to him by a Cardinals lineman and took it for a three-yard gain. I like when we play at 1:00, so I can actually enjoy it from 5:00 until I go to sleep.

New England’s next three games – which will conclude Garoppolo’s stint at quarterback – are all at home in Foxborough, Mass., against the Dolphins, Texans, and Bills.
