Legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen was seen inviting an older member of the crowd on stage at the Toronto leg of the star’s current tour.

The singer played a three-hour set of 32 songs to thousands of fans in the RDS in 2012.

The Leinster Football Quarter-Final against Kildare was to be followed by the Hurling equivalent which is already scheduled to be on television that day.

The games were due to be played on Sunday 29 May, but have been moved to Saturday 21 May.

In turn, Croke Park feeds substantial amounts of money into central funds for distribution to counties and other units of the GAA.

While there will undoubtedly be some complaints over switching championship dates to facilitate concerts, the revenue generated by entertainment superstars has become an integral part of the Croke Park Stadium model.
