Bruce Springsteen performs Purple Rain in tribute to Prince

In a bit of irony, Prince’s Purple Rain soundtrack and Springsteen’s Born in the United States of America were released three weeks’ apart in June 1984.

The episode’s storyline centered on the main characters attending a party at Prince’s house, which led Prince to send the producers a list of actual songs he played at his parties.

Anyone lucky enough to be in attendance and those who watch this will feel the same.

After Prince’s sudden death Thursday at 57, tributes have popped up across the globe, including all-night dance raves and radio and TV stations playing his hits on a constant loop.

Local movie theaters will remember Prince by showing his popular movie Purple Rain during the last week in April. “And then he made me want to be in a band more than anything with ‘Purple Rain.’ I will forever be indebted to him for showing me true greatness”.
