Bruno Mars finally confirms he’s performing at the Super Bowl

Coldplay will perform at the Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show on CBS Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, the National Football League announced on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015. “She said, ‘How are you feeling about the Super Bowl?’ I said, ‘Of course we’re a little bit nervous.’ [And] she said, ‘Dad, the worst that could happen is that you’ll get turned into a meme'”. Last year, Katy Perry’s halftime performance was bolstered by cameos by Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz (not to mention the Internet-beloved “Left Shark”).

Bruno Mars confirmed his appearance for the Super Bowl 50 halftime show this Sunday in a series of Instagram posts today.

The group, who have been performing for almost 18 years, quipped that they’ll perform all their No. 1 hits and “work out how to fill the other 10 minutes”.

Beyonce’s vocals are also featured in “Hymn for The Weekend” from Coldplay’s latest album A Head Full Of Dreams released in December.

Chris added to Entertainment Tonight: “We love interacting with people and singing along with people and feeling the world connect. She’s one of our all-time favorites, and she’s one of the greatest performers I’ve ever witnessed”, Martin said.

While there is no definitive way to quantify it, spikes in sales and on social media suggest a significant Super Bowl effect.

It earned Martin a loud applause at the end of his comments.

Apart from the ultimate face-off between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos for the championship, another portion people will tune in for in Super Bowl 50 is the halftime show, which is expected to be one big spectacle this year.
