Bruno Zuculini: Middlesbrough sign Man City youngster on loan

Zuculini is a central midfielder and will add competition and depth into the Middlesbrough midfield.

The 22-year-old, who joined the Blues last summer from Argentinian side Racing Club, has failed to impact City’s first team and is yet to play a senior game for the club.

With Adam Forshaw out with injury, and regulars Adam Clayton and Grant Leadbitter only one booking each away from picking up a one-match ban, Aitor Karanka has looked to provide cover in this area of the pitch.

Manchester City will be hoping the Argentine can gain a few experience of English football during his short loan with Middlesbrough.

It is a third loan move for Zuculini, who is yet to make a senior league appearance for City, having had temporary spells at Valencia and Cordoba in La Liga last season.

City had high hopes for Zuculini when he signed given the reputation he had forged in Argentina as one the country’s best young players.

Boro sit fourth in the Sky Bet Championship after taking 24 points from 13 games this season.
