Jet Airways is working closely with the Belgian authorities and the Indian Embassy to facilitate an early transit for its guest and crew from Brussels.

“Flight 9W 1229 from Amsterdam has landed at Delhi”, it said.

Jet Airways operates daily flights between Brussels and New Delhi and Mumbai in India and Newark and Toronto in North America. “We have made arrangements for family members of the injured crew to travel to Brussels”, an airline spokesperson said.

A prank call to the Jet Airways office in Delhi claiming that five of their aircraft were carrying bombs resulted in the airways issuing a warning, delaying all flights.

As the world continues mourning for the innocent lives lost in the Brussels terrorist attacks, one photo captured the aftermath of the bombings like no other.

Jet Airways apologize for the inconvenience and urged that the safety of the passengers is of paramount importance. “Jet Airways salutes their grit and determination”. Both Amit and Nidhi are recovering at the hospital in Belgium.

The arrest of Salah Abdeslam in Brussels last week heightened those fears, as investigators said many people involved in the 13 November Paris attacks that killed 130 people were still on the loose. Brussels airport was to handle four arrivals and four departments between Indian and North America between 7: 30 AM to 10: 20 AM.

“We were searching through the internet to try and get details of the blasts when we saw the pictures”, her brother-in-law Nilesh Chaphekar told the Associated Press news agency.

Prosecutors said brothers Ibrahim and Khalid El Bakraoui had carried out attacks at Zaventem airport and Maalbeek metro station, while bomb-making expert Najim Laachraoui was identified by police sources as the second airport bomber.
