Bryant says Charlotte ‘never wanted’ him
In all the rivalry glory that came forth from Los Angeles and Boston, Kobe Bryant helped bring it to new heights when the Celtics and Lakers clashed twice in the NBA Finals just a few years back.

Observers believe that Bryant, with the way he has played in his 20-year career, can prosper in Charlotte behind guards Dell Curry and Donald Royal back in the day.
“When you love the game you become obsessive about it”, Bryant said Monday after the Lakers lost to Charlotte 108-98.
I do however think that the Celtics fans will greet Bryant in the starting line up with cheers and a standing ovation. He shoots a lot, but when you’re as good as Kobe Bryant, you need to shoot.
Bryant was selected by the Charlotte-based club in the1996 National Basketball Association draft and, although he knew about the video beforehand, he was delighted with the reception and the reaction from the fans.
But while the 5-27 Lakers look destined to be a lottery team again this spring, the recent retirement announcement appears to have energized Bryant, who has averaged over 21 points per game in his last eight outings after recording just 14.9 points per game during the entire month of November. You’ve got to figure out some kind of way to have an imprint on the game, and then if the game is close and you have a chance to make a big shot, then it’s your responsibility to make one.
This list differs from the best players of all time, in that, just because they rank high on that list does not guarantee them a top spot in the Lakers’ top players in franchise history.
As Kobe said after the game, he fully enjoyed the video… Meanwhile, the Lakers were limited to 36 percent in the half and finished the game at 38 percent.
There is a difference between liking a player, and respecting one, and tomorrow night, Kobe Bryant will live through all of those emotions. The Lakers pulled off the victory through a physically taxing seven-game series after losing in six games to the Celtics in the 2008 NBA Finals, punctuated by a 39-point loss in Game 6.
Lakers head coach Byron Scott said, “They did a great job of setting screens for him”. “He’s put in 20 hard years and he’s given everything he’s got every single night”. There is a lot of great young talent in Julius Randle, D’Angelo Russell, and Jordan Clarkson. “It would be a lovely thing to finish my career on an worldwide stage”.
“We were up four and he said, ‘I’m good, ‘” Clifford said.
The point guard missed the previous 18 games with a knee injury.
“He creates so much offense for his teammates with his screening and his ball movement”, Clifford said of Zeller.
