A BSF official said that a night patrol party of the force spotted three Pakistani intruders entering Indian territory and asked them to surrender.
BSF shot dead three Pakistani intruders, early in the morning today around 4.00 A.M, said BSF official. This village is fifteen kilometers away from Ajnala village on the global border falling in the Amritsar district but the encounter took place in Gurdaspur district. The intruders didn’t pay any heed to BSF’s warning and instead shot at them following which BSF personnel also opened fire. Since it is prohibited zone, it is also rich fishing ground and Pakistan fishermen intrude in the hope of better catch.
The intruders, who are in their twenties, are yet to be identified.
