Bubba Watson has debate with rules official about ant hill
Bubba Watson has been known to get testy on the golf course at times, and while this wasn’t one of his more high-profile moments, it was still classic Bubba. It’s either one or the other.

Rules official:“The sand is like a loose impediment.”
For his second shot, Watson had a sticky chip that he didn’t perform all that well, leaving about 8 feet for a birdie that he went on to make. Since it’s an animal, it is an animal, right? The official classified the anthill as a “loose impediment”; Watson countered that ants, technically, are “burrowing animals”. It’s burrowing and digging a hole. You agree with that? It’s either an ant bed or it’s an animal digging a hole.
First up was a mighty swish of his famous pink driver at the par-four sixth, where he carried his ball over 320 yards to set up a 15-foot putt for eagle which he converted easily.
Bubba Watson has finished either 1st or 2nd in three of his last five starts.

Rules official:“Unless, unless – (hands up) well we wouldn’t care less – but it’s only if they’re risky ants, like the biting, fire ant ones”.
