Buccaneers nearly broke a bunch of franchise records against the Eagles
The Bucs answered late in the opening period, after a mental mistake by the Eagles gave Tampa Bay’s drive new life. Their once-impenetrable run defense has turned into a sieve. Buccaneer players like Jameis Winston, Doug Martin and Lavonte David were setting records and hitting milestones at such a dizzying pace in Philadelphia that it was hard to keep up.

“Rusty? No, not really”, safety Malcolm Jenkins said. “Let’s get ready for Thursday”.
The defense has at times been a problem for Kelly and the Eagles, but it had been one of the stronger parts of the team earlier this season.
A 45-17 rout at Philadelphia gave the Bucs (5-5) consecutive wins for the first time in two years, and Winston is only one of the reasons Smith is confident his team can continue to climb. That’s what we get paid to do. But (crash of cymbals) they did that with each other. Sproles answered with the same wave. Instead, Sanchez’s backfoot-throw sailed and landed right in the hands of David. “And there’s nothing wrong with that”.
“We talked about being relevant”.
Sproles was unavailable for comment. 216 of those came in the first half.
The Eagles as recently as three seasons ago ran the same system, in which the defensive ends in a 4-3 front line up way to the outside of the tackles or tight ends on passing downs and the defensive tackles line up between the guards and tackles, before firing defensive line coach Jim Washburn midway through. The game wasn’t that close. They even tried 12 defenders on the field, that in the third quarter. None of it worked. Winston’s last three TD passes came on third downs.
“That was a smart play by him not taking negative yardage”, Cox said.
The five touchdown passes ties a single-game record by a rookie in National Football League history and ties the single-game team record by a quarterback. Eagles also didn’t have RB Ryan Mathews….
“But it was an isolated incident between two highly competitive players and nothing else came of it. Those guys will both tell you the same thing”. Winston, who became the first Bucs rookie quarterback to toss four TD passes, finished the half 13-of-18 for 147 yards and a 135.9 passer rating. Is there a college job waiting for Kelly? .
So bad the 50-50 drawing topped out around a ridiculously low $116,000.
So very bad you were prompted to TEXT 78247 for stadium assistance. Matt Hasselbeck completed 23 of 32 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns against two interceptions.
“First of all, hats off to our offensive line”, Winston said. “All day. Starting with me”. We have to win at the point of attack. Per our Net Expected Points metric (NEP), the Eagles entered Week 11 as the fifth best defense in the league by Adjusted NEP per play.
After playing 29 and 30 snaps in his first two games back from the injury, Alonso played 54 in the loss to Tampa Bay.
It’s rare that a duo takes home this highly-sought prize, but it’s just as rare for a duo to account for 92.3% of its team’s 521 yards in a 28-point win.
Kelly spent a lot of time Monday talking about the coaching staff’s reliance on the rotation on game day.
The Bucs took control after giving up the first touchdown.

Winston’s first touchdown pass, a 4-yard fade to Mike Evans in the corner of the end zone in the first quarter, was well defended by Nolan Carroll, but Evans’ four-inch height advantage was too much to overcome.
