Buckeyes suspends quarteback J.T. Barrett

Cardale Jones, who started the first seven games of the season, will start in Barrett’s place.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said on the Big Ten coaches teleconference Tuesday that Webb has been fully cleared to play. “That’s not even a hesitation”. He decided that Barrett would forfeit his scholarship for the upcoming summer semester, forcing him to pay his own way. The former quarterback, now H back after shoulder surgery past year, will be the backup QB this week.

He said all the right things, but the punishment itself misses the mark. “It’s just a matter of fact: He can throw; how prepared is he to throw”. We all are going to try to help him.

Miller is prepared to jump in at quarterback if called upon.

Offensive coordinator Ed Warinner said Barrett will benefit from “a lot of banked credibility”.

“The last four or five games we’re playing extremely well”, he said.

Urban Meyer stared at his phone in disbelief. The source also said, he was arrested after trying to avoid a DUI checkpoint near the Ohio State campus. The young cornerback returns after initially being suspended before the game against Northern Illinois and comes back at just the right time.

Minnesota hasn’t had much success against Ohio State, beating the Buckeyes only once (in 2000) since 1981, and is at. If Miller has to play quarterback, that part of the game won’t be an issue. Meyer continued that the team has always had a quarterback package for Miller during every game this season and will ramp up his throwing ahead of Saturday. “They were very inspired”.

The spokesman added that the team holds workouts over the summer, and players are required to take at least six credit hours to attend.

Barrett was cited for the misdemeanor early Saturday morning by Columbus police and suspended one game by Meyer.

Despite the disappointment, Meyer said he would support Barrett. McMillan now leads Ohio State in tackles with 74 (third-best in the Big Ten), and has been a key performer for a defense that ranks second nationally in passing yards allowed, fourth in defensive pass efficiency and 13th in total defense. He went 7-0 as a starter to begin this season before Meyer inserted Barrett to pep up a sluggish attack. No other USC receiver has as many as 20 catches. Jones completed 61 percent of his passes for an average of 247.3 yards a game for five touchdowns with two interceptions.
