Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo could see time at all five positions

After a monstrous put-back dunk by Giannis Antetokounmpo, Minnesota mounted a mini comeback to get back to within three points, 23-20, but the Bucks pulled away due to their strong shooting en route to a 28-20 lead. With this versatility, Coach Jason Kidd wants the 20-year-old to play every position for the team. Basically this translates to Giannis will be playing massive minutes in Milwaukee, and if he is able to knock down that 3-point shot consistently, his fantasy value will be much improved. “It’s hard but I’m learning to play both spots”. And when Parker does make his return, the “Greek Freak” will slide down to small forward. Antetokounmpo should mostly play small forward, though his multi-faceted game gives Kidd the ability to move him around the floor to account for matchups or foul trouble.

Marcus Landry, who went to Milwaukee Vincent High School and the University of Wisconsin, says “things didn’t work out the way we wanted them to” in a tweet Thursday morning.

Landry averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in four preseason games, while Gutierrez averaged 3.0 points and 2.8 assists, and Powell also played in four preseason games. The Bucks are letting him take it slow and with caution, but said that he is doing well in practice. Antetokounmpo must sit out the opener after being suspended for one game for running over the Bulls’ Mike Dunleavy during Game 6 of last season’s first-round playoff series won by Chicago. With quickness to go along with his wingspan, Antetokounmpo could be a matchup nightmare at any position.
