Buffalo Bills’ 2018 draft: Analysis for every selection
Allen was a star college quarterback at Wyoming and had been tipped as a potential No1 overall pick when the first round of the draft gets underway on Thursday night.

The Browns, who limped to an 0-16 mark a year ago and are 1-31 in the last two seasons, haven’t fared well when selecting a quarterback with their first-round pick. Tampa Bay acquired the Bills No. 12 pick and Buffalo’s two second-round selections this year: 53rd and 56th.
Our Andy Young is in Dallas for the NFL Draft, and spoke with new Bills QB Josh Allen one on one. Hopefully for the Bills Mafia, Allen can grow and mature behind McCarron and prepare himself for a chance to be the next Jim Kelly in Buffalo.
However, they swerved many and picked Wyoming’s Josh Allen, who has become a bit of a polarizing player because of the questions surround his accuracy.
Allen noted that the attention the tweets have garnered marred the run-up to the first round of the National Football League draft Thursday night.
Despite the expectations of many analysts, the biggest rumor floating around Dallas is that the Browns will take Oklahoma quarterback and reigning Heisman Trophy victor Baker Mayfield number one overall.
Just hours before the start of the NFL Draft, Allen apologized and stated he actually went through his Twitter profile to delete anything to prevent this from happening.
Welp. This is not how Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen expected to spend Draft Day.
Things could get awkward in the Buffalo Bills’ quarterback room.
Bills trade up to No. 7: Josh Allen.
The gumption of Beane to sit and wait to strike for the guy he believed in, and to make a dramatic move for the quarterback he wanted to build around should be applauded. Reports suggest that the Cleveland Browns will take Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield with the No. 1 overall pick.
