This draft pick for the Broncos can greatly impact the future as Lynch could one day become the franchise quarterback.

On Thursday night, the Broncos traded up to the No. 26 pick and used that pick to select Paxton Lynch out of Memphis.
Jared Goff and Carson Wentz were long expected to go early in the draft, and the Rams and Eagles moves up to 1 and 2 locked that in.
It is now speculated that the Broncos pursuit for San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick appears to be over. Bruton started three games and played 481 defensive snaps (53.1 percent) last season, in addition 271 special teams snaps (20.8 percent), the second-most on the team.

“We are continuing to look, but we aren’t going to do anything right now”, Elway said.
Although he was a bit surprised to see all the snow, he said he’s very excited to be in Colorado. It took two teams out of the “maybe drafting a quarterback” column and put them into the “definitely drafting a quarterback” column. “We are really excited about him”, Elway said.

The 49ers’ quarterback depth chart now features Blaine Gabbert, Colin Kaepernick, Thad Lewis and Dylan Thompson. Good arm strength. Cut way down on his interceptions a year ago, from 19 his first two seasons as a starter to four. Throws can get off-target, especially when on the move, which detracts from his excellent mobility.
