Buffy Star Nicholas Brendon Arrested Over Domestic Dispute

This is the fourth time Brendon has been arrested this year. He was released from jail Thursday after posting a $20,000 bond.

Nicholas Brendon was arrested on Wednesday, September 30, after allegedly getting into a domestic dispute with his girlfriend at a hotel in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., police confirmed to Us Weekly. Brendon was apparently drinking alcohol when he choked his girlfriend.

Officer responded to a hotel room on South Broadway where they found a 33-year-old female victim, police told Gazette news-gathering partner CBS 6.

Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander Harris on “Buffy” from 1997 to 2003 and Kevin Lynch on “Criminal Minds” from 2007 to 2014, faces charges of robbery, obstruction of breathing and criminal mischief, Saratoga Springs police Lt. Bob Jillson said.

After their argument, Nicholas Brendon then left the hotel, only to eventually be found a few blocks away by police after the incident had been reported. Brendon also said he had been molested as a child and was “actively participating in treatment and remaining positive in the light of negativity” in the post.

A source tells ET that the police had a couple of dealings with Brendon in the past week, starting last Tuesday. He’s been arrested at least four times this year and checked into rehab. The actor was previously arrested in Ft. In March, he was charged with criminal mischief and property damage at a Florida hotel. This was for Malicious Injury To Property and Resisting or Obstructing Officers.

Back in February, he also split from his wife of five months, Moonda Tee. He did a stint in rehab in June for alcoholism, depression, and substance abuse issues.

In addition, he stormed out of a TV interview with self-help guru Dr. Phil McGraw in August, and later told fans the televised intervention was too dark and accused the host of going “for the jugular”.
