Developer Hello Games said earlier that it’s working to adapt to the large number of players now exploring the game’s universe, and added that average player session far exceeded expectations.

No Man’s Sky has been hyped to hell and back and now it’s finally out.

Regardless of what other people have to say, it’s always better to play a game yourself and draw your own conclusions, so if you’ve been looking to get in on the No Man’s Sky action, you can now do so on either PS4 or PC.

The game now sits at a “Mostly Negative” user review rating, with only 29% of the 2,500 who have purchased it since its launch earlier today having reviewed it positively.

I remember vividly when No Man’s Sky was first announced, back in 2013 at Spike’s VGX awards – the wonderment and amazement I felt over what I was seeing.

“What we actually set out to do was to make something really different, unique and offer a very different experience to what you normally see in video games”, he said.

Some of those issues, as is expected with big, procedurally generated universes, are bugs and glitches, some so bad that they are breaking the game for players. It is also available over at iam8bit where you could get one of the remaining limited edition toy-style replica of the ship. Even if that does not happen No Man’s Sky PS4 version is pretty good and you will have a ton of fun exploring the galaxy. By having huge credits, you can increase your inventory slots and therefore obtain many other resources and items. A sticker, covering up the online play symbol on European copies of the game’s physical Limited Edition boxes is only adding to the fire. Though there is a problem with pop-in graphically, it’s still awesome to be able to fly over a planet or zip through space at breakneck speeds.

No Man’s Sky – like any ambitious game of enormous scope – has not launched without its problems. For those who already purchased the PC version, Murray suggests updating and restarting the game. Once the game detects that you need a hyperdrive, it will direct you to a nearby NPC and provide you the hyperdrive you need. That universe would be filled with planets so numerous that the word to count them-quintillions-sounds made up.
