Buhari carries out mass retirement of permanent secretaries

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja according to the Punch.

But a few of the Permanent Secretaries were also said to have been involved in politics during that administration of President Goodluck Jonathan while a few have been indicted for sundry corrupt practices.

As first exclusively reported by The Eagle Online, the retirement followed the appointment of the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita. Danjuma Sheni, Defence; Dr. Shade Yemi-Esan; Education.

Others are Mrs. Fatima Mede, Budget & National Planning; Alhaji Mahmoud Isa Dutse, Finance; Amb.

Adesina said in the statement that the appointments and deployments were with effect from yesterday, November 10, 2015.
