The 2016 Buick Cascada is the first US-spec convertible made by the company over the last 25 years and it is now getting ready to arrive with its customers. Buick touts the Audi A3 Cabriolet as being the car’s closest rival, and is quick to point out that the Audi will cost you close to $3.5k more.

“Cascada expands Buick’s lineup with a uniquely fun and personal driving experience”, said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. The exterior features Buick’s trademark waterfall grille, a wide chrome strip at its rear and HID headlights and LED taillights.

The Cascada’s list of standard features includes automatic climate control, a 7-inch infotainment screen with navigation and a backup camera, leather seats, a heated steering wheel, 20-inch wheels, and, of course, a power-operated softtop that lowers in 17 seconds. When in use, the soft top provides thermal and acoustic insulation inside the cabin. That Chrysler would be feeling the pinch from Buick, which just released prices for the four-seat, front-drive 2016 Cascada convertible.
