Butler initially refused to be put in the wheelchair that was brought out for him so he could shoot his free throws. Eventually, Butler was helped to his feet and to the line where he hit split a pair of free throws. It’s the same left knee that caused Butler to miss Wednesday’s win at Sacramento.
After getting an x-ray at Pepsi Center, Butler was seen walking without assistance and smiling, though his knee was wrapped heavily.
“Rose. The veteran guard stepped up with Butler out of the lineup but it wasn”t enough. Hopefully, it’s just a really bad bruise and he will be back sooner rather than later.
