Bulls take anger out on Thunder
The Bulls were angry and on edge after three straight losses. They just wanted to make sure he was healthy, because over his past few seasons he had battled a handful of injuries, maybe even too many. None of the signs have been particularly good this season other than flashes of brilliance for Chicago, but hopefully the Christmas Day game will be a step towards them becoming a functional group again. “I think the concentration, the focus and just the will to defend at the level I think we’re capable of defending has to be an area we continue to grow and get better at”.

Fortunately for OKC, they found the right mix at the right time, and were able to get into the lane themselves repeatedly in the 4th quarter.
“We did all those things”.
Durant likes to say that hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard, but the truth is, sometimes talent is good enough.
The Thunder probably still wish they had that Bulls game back, but at the very least, they did not compound the Christmas Day effort with a repeat performance, and halted their losing streak at a single game. He scored 12 points to help give the Thunder a one-point advantage heading into the fourth. “We understand that. And whatever it takes to turn it around, I’m going to do”.
Butler hit a pair of free throws to calm down the Thunder run but Kanter responded with a putback off a Westbrook missed shot.
Now the challenge is to maintain it. The Bulls play the Mavericks in Dallas on Saturday night. Although Thunder fans howled about replays that appeared to show an overly dramatic reaction to the contact, Gibson said: “It wasn’t a flop”. If the Bulls can capitalize off of their latest big win, they could climb up a spot or two easily. The win against Cleveland, win against San Antonio, win against the Clippers.
The Chicago Bulls are just hoping he can do that a little more quickly. “We got a great group of guys, if we play hard together, we can win”.
Kenneth Faried had 25 points and 11 points for the Nuggets, who have lost five of their past six games overall and six straight games at Oklahoma City.
Portis gave the Bulls a lift off the bench as the Bulls started pulling away in the third quarter. Most expected them to get throttled Friday, but they feasted in the third quarter (32-16) while Derrick Rose was at his best, attacking the rim.
Chicago led 51-37 with 4:58 left in the first half, but the Thunder cut it to 54-52 at halftime.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Thunder are now 9-point home favorites over the Bulls while the total now sits at 204.5 points, down from 205.5. Portis hit a three-pointer and fed Doug McDermott for a basket and Gasol hit two shots as the Bulls opened an 82-68 lead.
