Bullying Corbyn supporters are like ‘stormtroopers’, says Jewish Labour donor

A spokesman for the Corbyn campaign said he was the only candidate who could draw on support from Labour members across the UK.

According to The Times, Bragg slammed the incumbent leader, stating: “I worry about Jeremy that he’s a kind of 20th century Labour man”.

Criticism of the embattled Labour leader has been mounting in the wake of the June 23 vote for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union.

In a video shot as he was on his way to debate with Mr Smith in the Labour leadership hustings in Gateshead, Corbyn is seen sitting on the floor of the train, a coffee and brown paper bag at his feet, reading Private Eye magazine.

The pledge is nothing new – it was his first official policy when he became leader past year – but will now serve as part of his formal transport pledge against rival Owen Smith as both contenders gear up for another party election next month.

“There is a panic room being fitted in my office, I now walk around with an alarm system that means people can listen to conversations”, she said.

Politics in the Park, organised by Matlock and District Labour Party, was also delighted to have national party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, take to the podium.

Though the five had won their action earlier last week at the High Court that decision was overturned on Friday when the Court of Appeal ruled Labour was within its rights to stop some new members voting in the contest.

“I’d like to see them actually praising the work that Labour MPs do around all sort of issues and say “Don’t you dare have a go at these people, they are doing a perfectly good job”.

The victor of Labour’s leadership contest will be announced on 24 September.

Corbyn, who has called Hezbollah and Hamas “friends”, has been accused of fostering an atmosphere of anti-Semitism in the party.

Ms Fordham has said it would cost around £8,000 “for getting the case even heard” but she could also be referring to lawyers’ fees.

All-women shortlists and the late retirement of sitting Labour MPs gave the NEC the opportunity to get “well-connected” candidates selected, he said.

Charnwood, and Leicester East supported Mr Smith.

Corbyn launched an inquiry into anti-Semitism within the Labour Party which critics argued whitewashed the prevalence of anti-Semitism within its ranks.
