Bungie Confirm Lots of Details About Destiny: The Taken King
Senior Design Lead Tyson Green and Executive Producer Mark Noseworthy will be on hand to discuss the new changes, including new light levels, collections, vaults, quests, Exotic weapon blueprints, and much more. Didn’t see anyone fire a gun once. There are substantial alterations coming to the title and this is going to be Bungie’s real chance to sell them all.

Don’t dismantle anything because Bungie will use your inventory to determine what level you are. This will boost you up to level 25 which is the minimum level for The Taken King. Previously, players needed to collect gear that increased their Light Level and their overall level.
Bounties are less time-consuming and easier to accomplish on-the-fly. Four bounties can be tracked at once in this way.
You can now turn in your bounties from anywhere.
Collections will keep track of the exotics, ships, emblems and shaders that you have collected and let you know which you still have not acquired.
Your collections also show you the items you don’t have, and how to get them, which sounds pretty useful.
Nou now go to a faction vendor and pledge allegiance.
While in the tower you can select which item you want to have equipped on your character. The game has already seen two expansions and plenty of updates to gameplay and other systems, some better received than others.
PvP quests now available for those that like to spend their time in The Crucible. Once a player completes a quest, the reward will be handed out and one is a brand new heavy weapon sword called Arc Edge.
Vanguard and Crucible marks have been replaced with Legendary Marks.
There’s a maximum of 200 at any one time, but no weekly cap.
Old marks will be converted to commendations, which you can cash in for reputation.
Dismantling a legendary item now give you legendary marks. One interesting thing can be seen in a brief image, featured at 0:34, that shows a list of Exotic Weapon Blueprints.
Account-based, meaning Exotic copies can be applied to alternate characters.
Some rewards have been tweaked, too, giving you specific unlocks, such as a Heavy Weapon upgrade. When you hit 40, you gain access to new, end-game equipment.
All new year-two Lengedary/Exotic weapons and armour have an Infuse perk allowing you to sacrifice more powerful gear to improve attack or defense, so it remains useful.
The Vault’s weapon section has been doubled to 72 slots, which are split into two pages.
And breath. I didn’t even cover all the minor details.
