Burger King Menu: Hot Dogs Will be Served in All US Locations
If Burger King can convince customers to add a hot dog onto their orders, the company could have a victor on its hands. Burger King plans to start selling the hot dogs in the US on February 23.

Grilled Dogs are available in both the Classic Grilled Dog and the Chili Cheese Grilled Dog. Settling on standard toppings for the classic dog presented a challenge because of local and regional preferences. The West Coast rap legend not only reported for duty at the Denver Broncos’ press conference for Super Bowl 50 last week, he’s also signed on as a Burger King grill instructor. The Classic is $1.99 and the Chili Cheese is $2.29, or they come as a combo meal served with a small fountain drink and fries for $4.49. “Some guests would say they loved our hot dogs, and we didn’t even have hot dogs”, he told the news source.
“We want this to be the Whopper of hot dogs”, Alex Macedo, Burger King’s North America president, said at a launch event on Tuesday. “Unfortunately for BK employees, Snoop’s title of “Grilled Dogs Training Ambassador” is only ceremonial…so don’t get too excited for smoke breaks”, it concludes. Its parent company, Restaurant Brands International Inc.is scheduled to report its results for fiscal 2015 in the coming week.
With little fanfare, Burger King tested hot dogs at a few specific locations past year.
However, Macedo emphasized that Burger King will stick to its roots as a fast-food restaurant rather than imitating fast-casual restaurants like Chipotle and Panera. By contrast, Burger King says it’s returning to its roots as a traditional fast-food outlet instead of trying to match other “fast-casual” chains with offerings such as popcorn and “Satisfries” which have failed in the past.
“We made a bunch of mistakes and we learned a lot”, Macedo said.
