One of two burglars in Fremont were captured on security video…

On Wednesday morning, an Oakland, California, man who is suspected of burglarizing a house and encouraging a family’s dog to eat broken glass, was arrested, reported the San Francisco Gate. During the burglary, the suspects injured Marlie, the family’s dog, when they threw food and dog treats on shattered glass, police said.

Once inside, the burglars ransacked the home, making off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry and cash.

She’s since recovered from her injuries.

After surveillance images from the burglary were circulated, Fremont Police arrested 21-year-old Valdo Diaz on Wednesday. Marlie, the pet, ate the food and the glass, causing her to bleed from the mouth.

His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
