Burhan Wani’s father meets Ravi Shankar
The news prompted Twitter users to target right-wing supporters asking sarcastically the Art of Living founder will now be called anti-national. An AOL spokesperson told TOI Wani’s stay at the ashram “was not a government initiative” and “it is too early to say anything about the meeting and discussions at this stage”. The spiritual guru in a tweet said that they discussed “several issues”. He was killed in a gunfight with security forces on July 8 in the Kokernag area of south Kashmir. This was confirmed by Sri Sri through a tweet on Saturday night, which was retweeted immediately by many.

“Ravi Shankar and (Muzaffar) Wani discussed several issues including the current situation and how normalcy can be restored in the valley”, the spokesman said in a statement.
In his tweet the spiritual leader said, “Muzaffar Wani, the father of Burhan Wani was in the ashram for the last 2 days”. Thousands of people reportedly attended the funeral of Wani. Following his death, protests broke out in the Valley between security forces and violent mob.
He tells Kashmir Reader that Sri Sri met him for 3 to 4 minutes and asked about how his two sons were killed. This comes on a day when Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence 7 Race Course Road to discuss the ongoing turmoil in Kashmir.
The meeting between Sri Sri and Muzzafar Wani was not a government initiative sources say.
