“We didn’t get much going for us last time on decisions and there was a big one”, he said.

“There’s a know-how with the Premier League when you’ve been there for many years but we’ve got to grow into that and learn from things that happen to us like today”. “He was within inches of scoring and it ends up flashing past him, the lad [Fer] has clearly got hold of his shirt”.

Dyche said: “I thought we deserved something from the game, I thought it was “welcome back to the reality of the Premier League”.

“I am proud of my players because this is a hard place to come for all of the teams in the Premier League”. We try and play fair, we don’t want to be falling on the floor and then you don’t get anything.

“If Burnley had drawn, it would have been fair, but I am happy for our victory because past year we would have lost this game”.

“But we want to be in the Premier League and be in it ongoing”.

“I’ve got a lad, he’s 13, I go and watch his games and there’s kids diving all over the place and I don’t like it, I really don’t like it”.

“We played into the frontline quite quickly, created to do that, more so than we normally would, and I thought we were effective with that – Andre and Vokesy were effective, especially second half. I’m sure you will be seeing it on TV later on tonight”.

“Mo is a very, very quick player; it’s hard for a defender”, he said. “I think he’s an honest player, a good guy”.

Burnley lost to the Dutchman’s 83rd-minute tap in after Tom Heaton saved from Fernando Llorente.
