A large number of these attacks have been stabbings, though guns and cars – used to run over people – also have been used. “Another bus nearby and a private auto were also hit”.

The scene of Monday’s bus bombing in Jerusalem.
Two people were seriously injured, including one in critical condition, and six were moderately injured in the explosion on Monday afternoon, police and paramedics said. Police were investigating whether any of the wounded were behind the bombing.
“We will find whoever prepared and dispatched the explosives, as well as those who helped them”, he said. “Obviously we’re aware of those reports, and law enforcement officials in Israel are taking a close look at this, as they should”. We’ll settle the score with these terrorists.
Gaza Strip-based Palestinian terror group Hamas praised the attack but did not claim responsibility in a statement on its website. He is reported to be a Palestinian from East Jerusalem. A spokesperson for Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat would not give any more information. “But we will not be broken or despair, because this is exactly what we say on the Seder night, “That in each generation, they stand against us to destroy us, and God saves us from them”. Later it confirmed that it was “some sort of explosive device” that caused the blast.
The bus that exploded was reportedly empty; those wounded were in the adjacent second bus that caught on fire as a result of the explosion.
Attacks on buses by suicide bombers were a hallmark of the Palestinian uprising in 2000-2005, but have been more rare since.
Mickey Cohen, the head of United Hazolah emergency responders in Jerusalem, told the Haaretz newspaper from the scene: “When I arrived I saw two buses going up in flames and about 10 causalities”.
Bus driver Moshe Levy told reporters he checked his bus for bombs twice before he started his journey. “Our first task was to get them to a safe place and to begin to treat them”, he said.
