Busch led 20 of the first 26 laps in the Camping World Truck Series race, but when the No. 51 Dollar General Toyota came to the pits, he was penalized for speeding and dropped to 19th.

After Jones backed off, Busch was able to get a run and make the pass for lead with for the final four laps.

Regan Smith bumped his way past Alex Tagliani in the Carousel a turn from the finish Saturday to win the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports auto Course. This is his first victory and eighth top-10 finish in nine NCWTS races at Michigan global Speedway. It was Busch’s second victory in the trucks this season. The slide caused extensive damage to the front nose off the No. 18 vehicle and forced Joe Gibbs Racing to pull out a backup for Busch, who’s won three of the past five races.

“We got the lead on the restart there; that was good for us to get the lead”, Blaney said.

“We’re trying something new with our tach settings today and that didn’t work”, Busch said of speeding penalty.

Ryan Blaney: Sees Busch go past him late to win the race, just like at Indianapolis in July. Busch’s team Kyle Busch Motorsports team mate Erik Jones took the lead at the restart on lap 31, but he was unable to stave off Crafton’s ThorSport colleague Johnny Sauter from taking control on lap 45. He quickly got back up front just before the checkered flag.

“I thought we were in a great position to win, but it’s so hard for the leader”, Blaney said. “And when I did, I was like, ‘aaagh.’ It just kept carrying”. I could never get enough help behind me to do the same thing to him that he did to me.

Brad Keselowskis foundation and the Cooper Standard Foundation, a business partner of the Rochester Hills racer, were the presenting sponsors of the race. However, after tangling with John Wes Towny on the Lap 90 restart, Crafton was shuffled out of the lead pack despite saving his truck.
