Gov. Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend reportedly posted a Facebook photo of herself with the former president, saying “The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!”

Bush, 92, had meant to stay silent on the White House race, but Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend revealed his alleged voting plans.

When asked about the matter by online daily Politico, Townsend said that she had met with the elder Bush in ME and the former vice president for Republican icon Ronald Reagan had told her that he was fully aware that he was intending to back a Democrat.

Bush spokesman Jim McGrath told CNN the Bush family would not be confirming or denying Townsend’s assertion.

Bush’s son Jeb, who dropped out of the race to be the Republican presidential nominee in February, has publicly said he is not voting for Trump in November, but hasn’t thrown his support behind Clinton.

“President Bush said he’s voting for Hillary”, Townsend told The Washington Post.

The Bush family hasn’t exactly hidden its discomfort – and, in some cases, outright disdain – for Donald Trump. She later confirmed her scoop to Politico. John McCain of Arizona and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire.

Hillary Clinton gave her first presidential candidate televised national interview with CNN’s Brianna Keilar on Tuesday, July 7, 2015.

Given all that, the report suggesting H.W. will vote for Clinton shouldn’t surprise anyone. But Bush lost that election, and Bill Clinton’s presidency signaled a new era of celebrity and media power to influence elections.

The evolving relationship between the Bush and Clinton families began in 1992, when Bill Clinton ran against – and defeated – incumbent President George H.W. Bush. Well, if his grandfather really does vote for Clinton, George P. probably won’t be the only Bush with a bad taste in his mouth.
