Bush Could Be Open To a few Syrian Refugees
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has been adamantly outspoken about bringing in Syrian refugees for a few time, warning that people might be posing as refugees to gain access to America’s health care system.

I am also queasy about the Tuesday editorial in Murdoch’s favourite newspaper, the Sun, which called on British-based Muslims to prove their opposition to “the jihadis” by marching through London with placards saying “not in our name”. “There’s no history of ISIS terrorists embedding in the Christian community and pretending to be Christian”.
Bush said he understood people’s fears about the Obama administration’s ability to effectively screen such refugees.
His suggestion would not exclude Muslims, however. This seems reasonable, given that Christian groups in the Middle East face aggressive discrimination from a wide variety of the factions fighting across the Middle East, including especially the Islamic State, and so could reasonably be conceived to make up a disproportionate percentage of refugees.
While the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News didn’t feature testy back-and-forths like ABC offered with Karl and Cruz, the two newscasts did have segments devoted to this refugee debate. He said accepting refugees from war-torn Syria is “not just an issue of the heart, it’s also an issue of the head”.
At a rally on Monday night, Donald Trump said he would not only ban Syrian refugees from coming to America, but deport the ones who are already here, according to ABC News.
The Paris attack was linked to the Islamic State group (also known as ISIS), which has been one of the major combatants in the Syrian civil war that is leading to the refugee crisis there.
Obama and the three candidates for the 2016 Democratic nomination have maintained their support for resettling 10,000 Syrian refugees in the U.S. What he says about the issue.
Despite a recent study showing that white supremacists, antigovernment fanatics, and other non-Muslim extremists have committed twice as many acts of terror in the United States as Muslim extremists since 9/11, governors in a number of states said they would not welcome Syrian refugees after the Paris attacks. [TO CRUZ] So, what do you do?
Does Ted Cruz talk differently about marginalized populations depending on who’s listening – defending their integrity when it’s convenient and characterizing them as hateful bigots when needed?
Regarding Obama’s speech at the G-20 on Monday, Cruz said, “I appreciate Barack Obama calling me un-American, and that is reminiscent of the vitriol with which he treats conservatives”. Bush has given several interviews about how he would handle ISIS as commander-in-chief, and he is scheduled to deliver a major foreign policy address Wednesday at the Citadel in SC. Cruz has even gone as far as pledging to introduce a bill prohibiting all Muslim Syrian refugees from entering the USA, while keeping the door open for Christians.

BARBARA WALTERS [TO TRUMP]: a few people are saying that only Christian, not Muslim refugees from Syria should be allowed in. But I don’t think we should eliminate support for refugees. “We’re saddened and shocked about what happened in Paris”, said Matthew Soerens, spokesman for World Relief, the association’s humanitarian arm. “Well I do. We all have sympathies for people that have been uprooted”, he said, but added: “Look, we have a duty to protect our country as well”.
